Kikoi, though commonly known as kikoy is a traditional hand-woven fabric commonly worn by the coastal communities of Kenya and also by other communities in East Africa.
Having been made of pure cotton, the kikoy is very comfortable to the skin hence can be worn by both men and women, of all ages.
Two of the sides have handmade tassels.
One can choose to wear the kikoy as a beach towel or wrap, a scarf, tablecloth, and may as well be tailored to make various clothes such as robes, shirts, bags and pillow covers. The ideas are simply endless; it's all up to you to be a little creative!
A Kikoi is very easy to wash and takes a very short while to dry.
The kikoy measures approximately 64 by 39 inches
These great Kikois would make great presents for your loved ones; more especially for someone who has just had a baby, or one who is planning on spending some time at the beach.
